Two Tangled Guys - roverart

As I mentioned in the third part of my interview by WR of WR's screencaps (you should definitely read all three parts), I'm not hugely into big-vs-little matches. I prefer even contests which seem to be quite rare from the David/Goliath matchup dynamic, at least in my experience. That being said, I was surprized by this match, very pleasantly so.

"Two Tangled Guys" pits hunky Richi against the wiry Leo. You'd be forgiven for thinking this would be a squash, given how Richi picks Leo up over his shoulders, throws him onto the mat, then locks in a sleeper. Wanting to play with his food a little more, Richi uses his tree trunk legs to crush Leo's midsection in a bodyscissors—perhaps his biggest mistake.

Leo copying the bigger man

The twist in this match comes early: Leo literally epitomizes a warped version of the phrase "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Any wrestler, or any fighter for that matter, knows that combat isn't always about size and strength. Leo may not have the muscularity of Richi, but he can certainly match him in skill, and match him he does. This roverart production sees Richi and Leo in a battle of endurance as they equal each other move for move.

I have no idea what's going on here but it looks great

It's a great, fun match that highlights a big-vs-little dynamic that we don't see too often. It's refreshing, interesting, and quite hot. It is, however, predictable. If you're looking for a match that keeps you guessing because you're not sure what will happen next, this is not for you.

The sweat marks left on the mat as Leo and Richi roll around trying to outdo each other are a clear indicator of the toll this battle is taking on them both. The variety of mirrored holds in this video is also great, from all kinds of scissors to ankle locks to strangle tangles. All of this action culminates in a stunning ending that leaves at least one of these fighters out cold on the mat.

"Two Tangled Guys" has a runtime of 20:13 and can be found on roverart's WatchFighters here.
