Blayne vs Azaran vs Johnny Bronco - American Beefcake Wrestling
I received a message on Instagram a few days ago announcing the launch of an appropriately but bluntly-named studio, American Beefcake Wrestling. Skeptical at first, I looked through their fledgling site and was pleasantly surprised. Their current roster is small, but that's to be expected from a new studio, but it includes current superstar Johnny Bronco, returning Thunders Arena superstar Blayne, and new hunk Azaran. Of their five matches I wasn't sure what to pick up, so I thought the best option would be to pick up the one that featured all three of them at once.
It's great to see Bronco expand his wrestling repertoire and the new guy Azaran is smoking hot, but the main draw for me here is Blayne. Seeing a fan favorite return from 'retirement' is great, and Blayne looks like he's been thriving in however many years it's been since his last appearance for Thunders Arena.

"Did I fucking stutter?" |
The match starts tentatively. Azaran (red) and Blayne (pink) discuss their (re)entry into the underground circuit and argue about who's had the better matches for ABW so far. It's a very stilted and awkward conversation, but I can't pretend that I've not had worse real life conversations, so I digress. It's not long before Bronco strides into the ring wearing a skimpy leopard print thong. He's immediately aggressive and territorial, making sure his smaller opponents know who's top dog. But they have other ideas in mind.
The microphone quality is lacking, but the benefit is that every time these studs hit the canvas it booms like thunder. It's a rough start for Bronco. Azaran and Blayne work together and work him well, first trying to pull his arms loose from their sockets, then making sure his nipples will be sore for days.

Bronco in trouble |
It takes a lot more than nipple twisting to put a man like Bronco down, however. As if he was just letting them get their hopes up, the big man fights back and demonstrates why he's ABW's number one. He makes quick work of splitting them up, beating them up, and piling them up.
The moves are a little suggestive, which suggests they know how to show themselves off. It's clear to me that these guys are having fun performing for the camera.

I don't know how to describe this other than "fun" |
The choreography for this match was actually the highlight for me. There was a good amount of creativity in the 2-on-1 moves, as illustrated by the GIF above. I'm a fan of when wrestlers get themselves tangled up, especially when they take it literally.
I hate when a match is described as a three-way and then only features a strict 2-vs-1 with no changing sides. Maybe 'hate' is too strong a word but I think it's misleading. This match isn't described as a three-way, but I'm happy to report that it fits the criteria! Blayne and Azaran have some unfinished business, and after managing to get the upper hand on Bronco, they turn their sights on each other.

Blayne and Azaran are physically a very good match for each other, and I love the idea of a total newbie going against someone who's been out of the game for a number of years. We get snippets of their adversarial chemistry here, and it's great. Their singles match is next on my list to watch.
Bronco manages to use their fight to his benefit, giving himself some time to recover. He and Azaran end up showing Blayne a thing or two before normal service is resumed. The bigger man quickly regains control of the match and, as expected, gives us an entertaining show.

Can you see why I was distracted? |
Overall, this is a solid start for American Beefcake Wrestling. Blayne, Azaran, and Bronco work well together and seem like they're having a great time. It's a little rough around the edges, but that's to be expected for a new studio. I'm genuinely excited to watch them develop and work out those kinks, but in the meantime there is some good material to keep us viewers satisfied.
