Featured Move: Ezekiel Choke
The Ezekiel choke, known more officially as the sode guruma jime (袖車絞め) in its originating sport of judo, is one of my favorite holds. The name came from the Judoka Ezequiel Paraguassu during his preparation for the 1988 Olympics, born out of frustration because he had difficulty in escaping his opponents' closed guards. I love it because the wrestlers get face-to-face, bodies aligned. It feels more personal than a rear naked choke or a sleeper.
