Sweat-soaked Spectacles

There's something about sweat. The way it makes a man glisten is alluring to me, almost hypnotic. The stuff your body produces to help cool things off just makes it hotter.

In the world of wrestling sweat is a given (most of the time). It's hard work grappling to put your opponent down, straining your muscles against another man. Even if that's not your aim and things turn erotic, much of that excitement is turned into moisture.

One of my favorite things to look out for when it comes to wrestling is when the guys sweat a lot. There are plenty of matches out there where the guys start dripping. But there are some where it's down right ridiculous in the best way.

Here are just a few matches where the wrestlers could almost fill a paddling pool with perspiration.

Brawn Battle - Bronco vs Blaine (and the Rematch) — Underground Wrestler

To start us off we have Bronco vs Blaine in a pair of matches titled "Brawn Battle". They are both exceptionally attractive men, so seeing these two wrestle was bound to be an interesting watch. I was taken aback by the sheer volume of sweat in both of these matches. Believe me when I tell you that the pictures I've chosen don't do the matches justice. In the second match they were sweating before even locking up!

There were times when I felt that the visual aspect of two muscular, sweaty men sliding around a mat room detracted from the actual wrestling itself. I don't mind that usually, but here I found myself wanting more visceral grunts and groans than I got. Nevertheless, both matches are a fun, sweat-soaked romp that many are sure to enjoy. I'm totally down for a re-rematch.

There are a couple of other matches on Underground Wrestler worth mentioning: Sweaty Fight - Tanner Ripley vs Blake Starr (an excellent pairing I'd like to see more of) and Hot & Sweaty - Alex Garcia vs Tanner Ripley. These are both great sweat-fests but just missed the mark for me (I can't include too many UW matches on this list).

Michael & Seth II, Ep05: Fucking Fucked Partner! — Wrestlingmale

If I had a nickel for every first-to-cum match with chains featuring Aryx Quinn and Stefan I'd only have two nickels, but it's weird that it's happened twice. Those nickels would also be treasured, because this match is a treat. It's a tag team featuring Seth Santoro and D.Dan vs Aryx Quinn and Stefan, and with four heaving hunks in the ring, it's bound to get sweaty.

There's something to be said about Wrestlingmale's newfound love for first-to-cum loses matches. It's by no means new, but the way Wrestlingmale has captured the concept and run with it so fervently is truly amazing. These four tussle around the Floridian ring and sweat buckets. It's no wonder why when the match clocks in at over an hour. The end of it leaves them all dripping, in more ways than one.

Wrestleshack 6: Kevin Shea vs Bud Orton — BG East

In my eyes Bud Orton is the undisputed king of sweaty erotic wrestling. Each of his matches for BG East leave a mat covered in pools of sweat I wish I could dive into. Any of them would be a fine addition to this little list of mine, but the standout for me is the match between him and Kevin Shea.

Once again the picture doesn't do the match justice. It's a real back and forth rumble, with both guys really tearing each other to pieces. As the match's official description reads, "the sexual tension and attraction is palpable". An understatement. From start to finish, Wrestleshack 6's second match perfectly encapsulates everything I admire in erotic wrestling. Bud and Kevin are an even pair, grappling intensely for almost the entire 42-minute runtime. This is by far one of my favorite matches ever produced by any company. It's a testament to one of the true cornerstones of the underground scene, BG East.
